We are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Permanent Pipe Foreman to join our dynamic team. This position is an integral part of our construction projects, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of pipefitters and other construction workers to ensure the successful execution of projects. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of pipe installation, including planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site functions.

2. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations.

3. Coordinate with project managers and other construction professionals to ensure the smooth running of the project.

4. Train, supervise, and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment.

5. Inspect and test installed pipe systems and pipelines to ensure proper functioning and compliance with specifications.

6. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the course of the project.

7. Prepare and submit progress and other reports to project managers.

8. Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment and tools, and order new equipment as needed.

9. Develop and implement work schedules, project plans, and timelines to meet project deadlines.

10. Participate in project planning and budgeting, and contribute to cost-saving strategies.

Qualifications :

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pipe Foreman or in a similar role within the construction industry.

2. Proven background within mechanical piping (pipe welding and / or pipe fitting).

3. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.

4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.

5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

6. Able to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions and on challenging terrain.

9. Proficient in using tools and equipment used in pipe installation and maintenance.

10. Certification or diploma in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

11. Valid driver’s license may be required.
