As a key partner of our BI team, you will collaborate closely with our implementation team and client to ensure our clients receive the customized solutions they need. This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Alternate locations : Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Belton, TX, Lebanon, VA. Must be a US Citizen or GC Holder.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

  • Evaluate quality of complex, disparate financial data using SQL and perform data analysis techniques that improve client-reporting capabilities.
  • Understand data needs and construct data pipelines for automating data preparation.
  • Understand functional reporting requirements and translate into technical requirements for a Business Intelligence application.
  • Identify database elements (tables, views, etc.), and business logic to build report design specifications to the client’s requirements.
  • Create report prototypes through functions, scripts, and stored procedures.
  • Improve and refine SQL queries.
  • Troubleshoot and validate data as required.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities with the ability to support multiple work streams and drive assimilation of new techniques and solutions.
  • Be passionate about technology trends.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

  • US Citizen or GC Holcer
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology or STEM related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • 4 Years of experience with hands-on SQL development, including creating complex SQL queries and functions, and data structures.
  • 4 years of Business Intelligence (BI) experience.
  • Experience using scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Perl) to extract data.
  • Experience working in an Agile based environment.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing best-practices including ETL and / or EII tools, database architecture, and SDLC methodologies.
