Job Title : Project Manager

Job Description

The Sr. Project / Program Manager will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight across multidisciplinary engineering teams and external vendors. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of complex rail vehicle programs, from concept through delivery, with a focus on systems integration, supplier coordination, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex rail vehicle programs on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, suppliers, and customers, representing the technical and programmatic interests of the organization.
  • Oversee the design, development, and integration of vehicle electrical systems, including embedded hardware / software, circuits, and mechanical interfaces.
  • Manage subsystem vendors, ensuring timely delivery of compliant products through proactive input.
  • Supervise the verification and validation (V&V) process, including RAMS engineering and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting of LRV electrical and mechanical systems; evaluate and document results.
  • Drive requirement management and traceability across all subsystems and project phases.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to talent development within the engineering team.

  • Hands-on engineering work within the subway, commuter, and light rail environment, including investigations of equipment malfunctions, modifications, and reporting findings.
  • Develop technical specifications for new and upgraded train equipment and systems.
  • Review design submittals and prepare detailed descriptions of review findings.
  • Work Environment

    The role involves working in a dynamic environment focused on rail vehicle engineering. The Project Manager will interact with a variety of stakeholders, including engineering teams, suppliers, and customers, to ensure the seamless integration and delivery of rail systems. This position requires a high level of collaboration and coordination across different teams and disciplines.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Permanent position based out of El Segundo, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00 / yr.

    This is a fully onsite position in Palmdale,CA.
