The Lead Customer Relations Clerk in the Utilities Department is responsible for coordinating and supervising the utility billing functions and supervising the Clerk I and Clerk II positions within the Utility Billing Office. This position reports to the Utility Billing Manager.
The following duties are normal for this position.
Prepares quotes for utility fees related to development.
A high school diploma or G.E.D. and supervisory experience in utility billing or related field are required. A basic working knowledge of computer procedures, practices and applications is also required. Bookkeeping experience is desirable. Possession of a valid Florida Driver License.
Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling, and commercial math; some knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; working knowledge of basic computer programs; ability to learn assigned tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed routines. A basic working knowledge of computers is required. Able to maintain a neat and pleasant appearance to meet the public daily and to be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.
