Job Title : Welding Engineer

Location : Warren, Mi

Duration : Long-term open-ended contract

Seeking a recent graduate with 1 to 2 years of hands-on lab experience in welding, preferably in joining, along with testing scanning an optical microscope

Requirements

  • Laser welding experience.
  • Welding of Internal Weld Coupons for Tab Welding
  • Restrictive spot weld experience
  • Experience in Cross-section of samples after welding
  • Material Characterization of Welds
  • Resistance testing
  • Resistivity measurement
  • Tensile strength measurement
  • Ability to coordinate projects and test data with other internal departments and outside suppliers.
  • Experience with Testing, Scanning and Optical Microscopes is a plus
  • Data base experience is a plus.
  • SEM experience is a plus. SEM is used to examine weld quality, fractures, microstructure, inclusions, porosity, and other features at high resolution.

Education Requirement :

  • Bachelors Degree required. Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing systems engineering or Material science will be plus.
