Responsibilities

Provides behavioral health counseling services to provide personalized treatment plans for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities :

  • Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals
  • Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
  • Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Provides patients with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
  • Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborative care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
  • Provides patient and family education on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and ways to support their child’s development.

    • Complexity of Work : Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

    Required Credential(s) :

  • Licensed Psychologist-Prefer experienced in Pediatrics

    • Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration :

  • Psychologist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Psychotherapist preferred.

    • Education :

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) required.
