Security Officer

Security Officer position available at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. Full time weekend options available. Responsibilities include monitoring and communicating the need for security services, managing and responding to calls and alarms, coordinating and dispatching staff in response to requests for service, retrieving recorded documentation, monitoring the activities of persons on the premises through surveillance systems and communications, and initiating communication with team leader / manager when additional staffing support is necessary and assisting with resolution of those issues. May be responsible for hiring, training, supervision, and performance appraisals of security shift employees.

Education requirement is a high school diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience. Required professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
