Roles :

  • Ensure development milestones are met on schedule
  • Support and partner with the design and development team to ideate, and develop new concepts into commercially viable products.
  • Research and evaluate new yarns, technologies, and processes to help ensure were always pushing boundaries for newest innovations.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of prototypes to ensure products meet design specifications and performance standards.
  • Generate tech packs for both innovation and inline development.
  • Research competition, and marketplace strategies to identify trends, category performance, competitive threats, and opportunities to support business decisions.
  • Communicate with external partners, including mills and suppliers, to maintain innovation and product excellence.
  • Develop and execute testing protocols for product samples ensuring they have at least 3 points of excellence.
  • Responsible for cost analysis and maintaining project budgets
  • Support ad hoc projects and tasks as needed across departments

    • Performance Measurements :

  • Number of New Product Concepts Developed
  • Prototyping Efficiency
  • First pass yield rate for samples / prototypes
  • Patent applications filed
  • On-time project completion rate
  • On time calendar milestone completion

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Experience creating apparel product
  • Understanding of material applications for product use
  • General knowledge of product constructions, product manufacturing and testing protocols
  • Degree in a related field or equivalent job experience (apparel, textiles, technology, engineering)
  • Ability to work on Adobe Creative Cloud specifically Adobe Illustrator
  • Proven track record of developing novel solutions or improvements in product
  • Nice to Have : 2+ years of experience in sock or footwear industry

    • Quarterly Objectives :

    Q3 2025 :

  • Onboard with cross functional teams to align on current product pipelines
  • Develop and deliver at least 3 innovation-based product concepts
  • Launch formal testing protocol with defined 3-point excellence benchmarks; apply to all new prototypes
  • Audit and organize material library; identify at least 3 new yarns or technologies for testing
  • Develop new product categories for new FS brand

    • Q4 2025 :

  • Lead at least 2 material or process tests using new yarns or techniques
  • Improve prototyping turnaround time by 15% through better vendor coordination
  • File at least 1 provisional patent or submit for IP review
  • Launch new FS brand with new product categories

    • Q1 2026

  • Work with sales and product teams to position at least 2 innovations for commercial rollout
  • Develop and deliver at least 3 innovation-based product concepts
  • Research and develop new product opportunities for FS to pursue based off of market and clients needs
