Senior Product Manager, Release Of Information

Datavant is a data platform company and the world's leader in health data exchange. Our vision is that every healthcare decision is powered by the right data, at the right time, in the right format. Our platform is powered by the largest, most diverse health data network in the U.S., enabling data to be secure, accessible and usable to inform better health decisions. Datavant is trusted by the world's leading life sciences companies, government agencies, and those who deliver and pay for care. By joining Datavant today, you're stepping onto a high-performing, values-driven team. Together, we're rising to the challenge of tackling some of healthcare's most complex problems with technology-forward solutions. Datavanters bring a diversity of professional, educational and life experiences to realize our bold vision for healthcare. Datavant is a distributed, remote-first team, and we empower Datavanters to shape their working environment in a way that suits their needs. Datavant is fast-paced, product-driven, and focused on challenging the status quo. But cultures are defined on how they are different, not how they are the same.

The Provider Product team is looking for an experienced senior product manager to join a team that's completely transforming how healthcare providers exchange information. You're one to get excited when you see a challenge, you love trying new things, and learning about and improving your craft of product discovery and delivery is a constant interest. As a Senior Product Manager in our Release of Information (ROI) product zone, you'll contribute to the roadmap and strategy for Datavant's industry-leading ROI platform serving 70% of top health systems and 40% of providers in the US. You'll partner closely with design, engineering, operations, and product teams to create new workflows and processes that optimize digital and manual fulfillment while enabling secure, fast, and comprehensive data exchange for everyone in our ecosystem.

You might not like this role if :

  • You dislike operating within a highly regulated segment where product insights can be found in the pages of dry regulatory text.
  • You prefer to not work on products which require the utmost attention paid to security and compliance.
  • You prefer consumer technology to enterprise infrastructure.
  • You prefer working with a clean slate.

Your first 30 days will include :

  • Learning all about the core business of information exchange / release of information in healthcare.
  • Diving deep with sales, customers, and our operations teams on key challenges and problems to solve.
  • Collaborating with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders to define this pod's charter and roadmap.
  • Shipping several key improvements that'll positively impact tens of millions of patients' lives.
  • What you bring to the table :

  • 5-7 years of product management experience in tech-forward companies.
  • Able to structure problems, develop clear problem statements and hypothesis, and prioritize work using business understanding and data.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; consistently keep teams updated on product strategy and progress.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Operations stakeholders to build and launch new products.
  • Experience, or demonstrated interest, in the healthcare provider / payer / services industry.
  • Experience coming up to speed in a regulated industry, inexplicable desire to read and grapple with regulations.
  • Kindness, smarts, and the ability to get things done.
  • We are committed to building a diverse team of Datavanters who are all responsible for stewarding a high-performance culture in which all Datavanters belong and thrive. We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.

To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and / or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the state in which you will be working, exemptions may be available on the basis of disability, medical contraindications to the vaccine or any of its components, pregnancy or pregnancy-related medical conditions, and / or religion.
