Salary Range : $60,000 - $65,000

Position Summary
Under the direction of the HSC Campus Fire Marshal, the Assistant Fire Marshal is responsible to plan, organizing and conduct fire prevention and fire investigation programs for the Health Sciences Center (HSC) Campus. This position provides expertise to University and Hospital clients in support of the facilities, fire protection and prevention operation and attends to various technical or mechanical duties. Performs a variety of administrative, technical and supervisory work related to fire inspection and prevention such as schedules, supervises and conducts inspections of existing structures, construction and remodel sites for compliance with fire codes; resolves compliance problems within scope of knowledge and authority; reviews construction plans; and conducts fire drills. This position requires contact with representatives of local, state and federal agencies, including the City of Philadelphia, The Joint Commission, the PA Department of Health, and the public. Performs other duties as assigned.
