Job Summary
As a Physical Therapist, you will assess patients and develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations. Your role includes providing direct patient care, documenting progress, and collaborating with patients and caregivers to ensure effective treatment. You will also support the development of treatment programs and provide guidance to interns and other staff members.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor's or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licenses / Certifications :
- Current or temporary license to practice Physical Therapy by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
A physical therapist practicing direct access should have :
Education : Doctoral degree along with a residency or fellowship program, or licensed therapist with 30 hours of continuing competence in differential diagnosis.Licenses / Certifications : Current license to practice Physical Therapy by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission.Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
This position involves occasional / frequent pushing and lifting of 75-100 pounds and carrying up to 30 pounds. It requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent walking, stooping, and squatting.Fine hand dexterity, coordination, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing are essential.The ability to visually monitor instruments, recognize characters, distinguish colors, and observe physical characteristics is crucial to this role.Principal Accountabilities
Take responsibility for patient care by performing comprehensive evaluations, interpreting findings accurately, and developing written plans of care with appropriate goals.Implement and administer physical therapy treatment programs safely and effectively, while regularly assessing progress and adjusting plans as needed.Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, caregivers, and colleagues, including physicians and insurance representatives.Present special topics at clinic meetings and conferences as assigned to share knowledge and expertise.Manage your time efficiently to maintain productivity and quality of service.Document patient interactions appropriately in medical records, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to Memorial Hermann's standards.Commit to your professional development by pursuing continuing education and participating in departmental goals.Demonstrate compassion and personalized care in all interactions, aligning with Memorial Hermann's service standards.
