Overview

Senior Splunk Engineer sought to join the Security Ops group at LPL Financial, reporting to the VP, Enterprise Security Tools. The role supports the development of a new cyber threat intelligence capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex Splunk projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet business objectives and technical requirements.
• Design and implement scalable and high-performance solutions that optimize data ingest, searching, and analytics.
• Troubleshoot complex Splunk issues and develop innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
• Mentor and guide other Splunk engineers and power users, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and enablement.
• Stay up to date on the latest Splunk developments, features, and technologies and contribute to the overall Splunk roadmap.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure Splunk priorities and solutions align with broader organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and data models for various stakeholders.
• Onboard new data sources and ensure data normalization using CIM (Common Information Model).
• Collaborate with SOC analysts, incident responders, and IT teams to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
• Tune and optimize Splunk queries and configurations for performance and accuracy.
• Maintain Splunk apps and technology add-ons (TAs) for integration with third-party tools.
• Ensure compliance with data retention policies and security standards.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Splunk-related issues.

Pay Range

$97,725-$162,875 / year. Actual base salary varies based on factors including relevant skill, prior experience, education, internal peers base salary, performance, and location. LPL Total Rewards package is competitive and includes benefits such as 401K matching, health benefits, employee stock options, paid time off, volunteer time off, and more.
