Neuroscience Faculty Positions
The UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking faculty members (tenure-track open rank) for joint appointments in the Department of Neuroscience and the Peter O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute. We seek outstanding scientists with pioneering and rigorous research programs at all academic levels aimed at developing a mechanistic understanding of normal or abnormal nervous system function. All areas of neuroscience are welcome, including but not limited to biochemical, cell biological, electrophysiological, neural circuit, developmental, computational, or behavioral studies.
The O'Donnell Brain Institute is particularly interested in neural circuit biology or molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurodegeneration, including neuroimmune factors (especially microglial biology) in relation to neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS) or mood disorders. Applicants with strong quantitative or theoretical elements to their research program are encouraged to apply.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

We seek bold neuroscientists who are using leading-edge approaches to answer fundamental and / or translational questions about the brain and behavior.
