About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 2 years PICU experience required

License : Must have valid state license, pending licenses accepted

Certifications : BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS, Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required

Must-Have :

• PICU and NICU experience
• Epic experience

Description :

This position involves floating to various pediatric units.

Responsibilities include working in the PICU, NICU, pediatric medicine-surgery, pediatric emergency department, and postpartum / mother-baby.

Candidates must have experience in PICU and NICU.

Previous experience in a float pool is considered.

Clinical review will take place, followed by an auto offer.

Schedules will be night shifts for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.

Every other weekend will be required, and candidates must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.

Up to 40 hours of time off can be approved.

Certifications in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS are required.

Must possess 2 years of PICU experience.

Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required but can be submitted with pending status for a fee.

Adherence to float policies is required.

Epic experience is mandatory.

Candidates must float within scope of practice among various pediatric units.

Nurse-patient ratios vary by unit.

Responsibilities include the care of ventilated patients, administering medication, interpreting diagnostic tests, and more.

Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of professionals is essential to provide quality care.

Special equipment and procedures may be required based on patient needs.
