The Position :
The Community Education Specialist plays a key role in the Community Education Department by 1) scheduling and delivering violence prevention education and training; 2) mentoring the youth leadership group in their initiatives to prevent teen dating violence, including a health summit.; 3) developing curriculum and awareness campaigns; 4) supporting youth and adults with guidance and resources and providing crisis intervention; 5) training caregivers, service providers, and volunteers, equipping them with the tools to recognize unhealthy relationships and support clients effectively.
The Community Education Specialist will be responsible for delivering education on healthy relationships and teen dating violence prevention in schools and the community. They will also support the development of program materials, work with youth leaders and community members, and engage and train caregivers, providers, and volunteers to ensure a holistic, community-wide impact.
