Job Summary
The Construction Carpenter will build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with a variety of construction projects.

Responsibilities
- Performs selective demolition and salvage.
- Erects and dismantles scaffolding and staging.
- Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, cementitious products, drywall, and other trade materials.
- Uses various hand and power tools to properly and securely complete tasks.
- Joins materials with the most appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
- Ensures the accuracy of work by checking with appropriate tools of the trade.
- Install windows, doors, and hardware.
- Installs millwork and casework.
- Install exterior siding and trim.
- Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities
Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.Ability to work safely to OSHA and Company standards.Works well as part of a team.Ability to recognize the impact of work on occupied dwellings or neighbors to a project and plan work accordingly to minimize negative impacts.Ability to maintain organized workspaces that maximize efficient use of time, manpower, and materials.Ability to work in a clean and professional manner and maintain a high level of quality control in workmanship.Ability to work with other trades to coordinate seamless installation.Familiar with basic wood and material knowledge to understand and choose the appropriate and proper quality of materials.Ability to communicate professionally about tasks to problem solve or develop resolutions to installation concerns.Education and Experience
Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; OR at least three years of experience via on-the-job training required.Must have OSHA 10-Hour (30-Hour preferred).Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.Must have drivers license and own transportation.
