Senior Web Content Specialist -(R7)
The University of Maryland School of Graduate Studies (UMSGS) has an opportunity for a Senior Web Specialist to support the comprehensive content review and restructuring of the school’s external website. This full-time contract position will report to the Director of Communications and work closely with the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) Office of Communications and Public Affairs to align the website with institutional branding, improve user experience, and ensure strategic content alignment.
This role does not involve web development. However, the ideal candidate will have experience with content management systems (CMS) and a working knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and SEO best practices.

Primary Duties
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in public relations, computer science, communications, marketing, journalism, business administration, or a closely related field.
Experience : Four years of experience in communications, journalism, technical writing, marketing, or web development.
Other : Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and / or experience is required only directly related education and / or experience may be substituted.

Hiring Range : $70, - $78,, commensurate with education and experience.
