Our Downstream Chemicals Team utilizes technology consisting of specialty chemicals, equipment, digital tools and over 100 years of industry knowledge to deliver value to our customers.
The Downstream Chemicals Team leverages our expertise to provide best-in-class technology and support to optimize process, finished fuels and water treatment applications within the customer locations where we operate.
Partner with the best. As an Account Manager, you will provide a vital service by implementing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and evaluating chemical treatment programs. You will take ownership of key customer accounts to ensure they have the services and products required to operate safely and efficiently.
As an Account Manager, you are responsible for :
- Safely managing day-to-day operations of process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers
- Developing trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration
- Applying account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P&L
- Identifying and coordinating numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers
- Routine monitoring and reporting of performance of existing treatment programs
- Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
- Collecting and interpreting data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers
- Providing field support, laboratory analysis and technical guidance for our customers on issues, projects, turn-arounds, shut-downs, and daily operations
- Managing chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer locations
Fuel your passion. To be successful in this role, will require :
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or similar disciplineMinimum of 3 years' experience in refining, petrochemical, industrial, and / or water treatment industriesStrong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales processStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsPrevious experience working in a laboratory setting and / or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretationA comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditionsAbility to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations, in a clear and concise mannerProficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)A TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC CardReside in a location which will allow for weekly customer service visits to Russellville, KY, Calvert City, KY and Evansville, INWork in a way that works for you. Typical hours will be Monday Friday, 7am - 4pm (must be willing and able to support the business after hours as-required)
