Vanderbilt Health is currently hiring a Sterile Processing Technician PRN at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. Key responsibilities include : decontaminating and cleaning instruments for the operating room, assembling instrument sets to be used in procedures, and sterilization of instruments. Adherence to practices and policies outlined to ensure patient safety and following infection control standards are also required.

Required Qualifications

• Must have one of the following certifications in order to be considered : Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or Certified Sterile Processing Technician - The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc.
• 1 year of sterile processing experience.

Technical capabilities include equipment maintenance, environmental sterility & safety, surgical equipment knowledge, and inventory control.
