VCG is looking for a Cerner Testing Lead. As the test lead for the Oracle Cerner buildout of a new facility, you will be responsible for, but are not limited to : -Creating the Oracle Cerner test plan and schedule for the project(s), identifying tasks, dependencies and participants required to execute the test plan including obtaining analyst, business and other stakeholder inputs and support.-Identify the testing effort required for the given application by analyzing the requirements of project and planning the required effort / timelines to accomplish anticipated testing milestones.-Ongoing review and readjustment of test plan to accommodate changes due to unforeseen circumstances.-Develop status reports for the project and provide to management.-Preparing / updating the metrics dashboard at the end of a testing phase or at the completion of a project.-Ensure the coordinated delivery of committed pieces of work within the scheduled time, ensuring the timely delivery of different testing milestones on each of the project. -Follow the test processes as set out by the organization, ensuring the required test plan, scripts and tools are in place before test execution and ongoing management of test environment and test tools during test execution and change requests. -Ensure test documentation is completed as per standards defined by the organization, ensuring content and structure of all test documentation / artifacts is documented and maintained and meets PHSA standards.-Engagement with Clinical Informatics team to support the development of testing scripts inclusive of the workflows for User Acceptance Test and 'Day in the Life' testing for the project. -Keeping track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project, escalating issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources) to the Project Manager.-Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test scripts, provide oversight and support to create test artifacts, execute testing and log defects, working closely with the business SME's and vendors.-Plan knowledge transfer sessions if required to the test team members for the tools that they would use.-Monitor the test progress through the various testing cycles by constantly assessing the work assigned to each tester and re-balance or re-allocate as required.-Anticipate possible delays in achieving the overall test schedule and hold discussions with test team members to figure out the issues that they may be facing and strive to resolve them.-Regular meetings with test team to make sure everyone is aware of what other fellow team members are doing.-Coordination with other testing coordinators to ensure test plans are cohesive and comprehensive.-Regular meetings with project manager to instill confidence about the work being done.-Support the preparation of any project-based risk mitigation plans.-Support the recruitment of test team personnel. -Work cohesively with Project, Business and IMITS teams. Critical / Mandatory skillset : -Work experience with software quality control concepts, defect resolution processes and practices.-Experience developing project test plans, creating, updating, and reviewing test documentation and artifacts , test cases, scripts etc.-Experience building and leading large testing events (, Integrated Testing)-Demonstrated experience understanding testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project and ability to estimate time, resources and budget required to perform testing.-Experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium applications, including BMDI, interfaces, and iBus-Experience with testing upstream and downstream systems (integrated), including data flow (ADT testing) and interface validation.-Experience using modern Test Tools for the purposes of test case management, requirements, inventory, defect tracking, and results documentation.-Able to communicate effectively and build relationships with test team members, business analysts, and project managers,-Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently, analyzing problems and strategizing for better solutions.-Excellent leadership, team building, and collaboration skills.-Ability to take ownership and independently drive progress.-Ability to manage issues stemming from testing events, including following up with issue owners to help with closure.-Ability to adapt evolving technology requirements as they are introduced during the project, and applying these into a clinical context to meet user requirements,-Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, process orientation and attention to detail. Desirable skillset : -2+ years of experience with IT implementations.-Previous experience in a Test Coordinator role, preferred.-Experience with the PQTO Project Implementation Methodology.-Working knowledge of hospital / clinical systems, care delivery processes, clinical roles, policies, and standards.-Experience with Teletracking Capacity Management, OmniCell, Vocera, and Patient Education systems helpful -Understanding of organizational dynamics to manage variety of different stakeholders.-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clinical and business stakeholders-Direct experience designing and implementing and support testing in a large, complex multi-stakeholder environment.
