Intern, Commercial Lines Underwriting

This intern role will work a hybrid schedule from our Columbus, Ohio corporate office location with days in office each week.

Pay = $18 per hour

JOB OBJECTIVE :

The Intern will perform tasks, projects and research in support of functional areas with underwriting and the underwriting office. The objective is to provide meaningful and impactful support to the business teams.Will also be exposed to different areas within the company to gain a broad understanding of insurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Opportunities with corporate and regional underwriting teams. Perform routine transactional activities on non-complex risks and established accounts following established procedures.
• Assist in issuance, assembly and other support of policies based on the strategy at the direction and guidance of the manager in underwriting.
• Field routine service and research project requests, referring more complex issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely servicing of accounts and projects.
