Intern : Information Technology – JR – Summer 2026 Start

Innovative Defense Technologies  (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Intern to be based in our San Diego office. This IT Engineer will work with a fast-paced team of mission-focused engineers to solve some of the Navy’s toughest challenges. Initiative, creativity, reliability, and efficient teamwork will be required to successfully deliver innovative solutions in this dynamic customer space.

Overview :

IT Engineer Interns at IDT work alongside our technical teams to build, configure, and secure the Information Technology infrastructure that will ultimately house services in support of the Department of Defense (DOD). The candidates for this role will learn skills to include but not limited to   Networking, Server Setup and Configuration, Linux / Unix-based systems, and Virtualization. Candidates for this role should be expected to work on-site with our Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Business Area in our San Diego, California location.
