Position Overview

We are currently seeking dedicated flexible and dependable Substitute Teachers to join our Helix team. Substitutes will support classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher and may be placed on daily or long-term assignments across multiple school sites.

Note : In some cases substitutes may be asked to report daily to assist with consistent student supervision and support.

Key Responsibilities

Provide instructional support in the classroom following lesson plans left by the regular teacher

Maintain a safe orderly and engaging learning environment

Take attendance and document student participation or concerns as needed

Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and grade levels (K-12)

Communicate effectively with students staff and administrators

Uphold Helix Community Schools values of inclusivity respect and high expectations

Ensure continuity of learning and student engagement during teacher absences

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred)

Prior experience working with students in an educational setting preferred

Ability to follow lesson plans and classroom routines

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Willingness to travel to multiple campuses if needed

Flexible reliable and punctual
