A company is looking for a Health Informatics Research Scientist to innovate and create computational methods in the Medicare and health insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate research topics and develop algorithms and data models for health data analysis and decision-support systems
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate research findings into practical solutions
Analyze clinical, claims, and operational data to identify trends and support evidence-based decision-making
Required Qualifications
U.S. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field
Minimum two years' experience in the Medicare space with algorithm and machine learning model creation
Experience with querying and interpreting large healthcare datasets
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Hadoop, and DOMO for data visualization and reporting
Knowledge of Medicare and HIPAA regulations, healthcare data standards, and insurance processes
