Job Summary : Willmer Engineering, Inc., a multi-faceted engineering firm specializing in geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing, is seeking an experienced Environmental Geologist / Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct environmental field activities, including Phase I& IIEnvironmental Site Assessments (ESAs),Indoor Air Quality assessments (mold, asbestos, lead-based paint), and environmentalremediation activities.
- Perform detailed site investigations, including geological surveys andcontaminant delineation andmapping.
- Analyze soil, rock, groundwater, and other environmental samples to determine their chemical and physical properties.
- Interpret data toassess environmentally suitable sites for industrial, residential, or public facilities.
- Advise on environmental regulations, remediation strategies, and best practices to mitigate contamination and environmental risks.
- Prepare and present written scientific reports and client correspondence, summarizing findings and providing actionable recommendations.
- Manage budgets and deliver projects on time, meeting department revenue and profit goals.
- Interface with clients to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions to complex environmental challenges.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including engineers, scientists, and government officials.
- Serve in a quality control capacity to ensure all environmental projects meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Participate in marketing and business development activities, including negotiating contracts, resource allocation, and schedule coordination.
- Maintain a focus on environmental compliance and support the firms commitment to a drug-free workplace.
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, or a related field.3+ years of experience with environmental due diligence projects (Phase I, II ESAs, and remediation).Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and detailed reports.Strong understanding of environmental regulations and the ability to provide expert advice.Proficient in Microsoft Suite products and engineering programs.Experience managing project budgets and schedules, delivering projects on time and within budget.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage client relationships effectively.Preferred Qualifications :
Certifications in Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) or Lead-based Paint.OSHA HAZWOPER certification.Professional Geologist (P.G.) credentials.Compensation and Benefits :
