Fabricating interconnecting cables and harnesses based on engineering drawings.
Performing troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of test bench and lab infrastructure equipment.
Skills Required :
Must have the ability to crimp and assemble connector contacts and cable assemblies to aircraft standards.
Must have the ability to solder to the J-STD.
Must be able to read and understand aircraft level wiring diagrams.
Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and diagrams for metal fabrication and assemblies.
Familiar with the use of test equipment, trouble shooting and repair of wiring, and isolation .
Experience wiring serial data interfaces including ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, IEEE-488.
Experience installing fiberoptic cabling for reflective memory hardware.
Ability to properly use in a safe manner hand tools and shop equipment (Powered and Unpowered – Hand drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers and soldering tools).
Industry : Technical 5 years minimum
Good communication skills both oral and written.
Work in a team environment
Physical
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined areas for extended periods of time.
Familiarity of ESD and FOD practices.
Education :
Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
High School Diploma
Military experience in related aircraft / systems maintenance and support is a plus
Other :
Must have the ability to attain a clearance, if needed.
