RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery nursing

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods

Monitor maternal and fetal health, promptly recognizing and responding to complications

Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives throughout labor and delivery procedures

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care best practices

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
