Position Overview :
As an Oncology Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care in alignment with our established policies and protocols. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for patients, families, and significant others.
Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize medical-surgical nursing best practices to improve patient care and overall health outcomes.
- Build supportive relationships with patients and their families to create personalized care plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement tailored nursing interventions.
- Incorporate various aspects of patient well-being including physical, cultural, social, and spiritual factors into your care management.
- Engage in collaborative decision-making processes with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
- Mentor and inspire peers, contributing to a positive work environment.
- Apply evidence-based practices to enhance patient care with a focus on age-specific needs.
- Maintain a safe and alert work environment at all times.
- Perform point of care testing according to established protocols.
- Complete other assigned duties to support the team.
Qualifications :
Graduated from an accredited nursing program or possesses equivalent educational qualifications.No prior experience required.Physical Requirements :
Effective communication skills, including constant use of speech and hearing.Ability to stand, walk, and move frequently, with occasional lifting and carrying of heavier objects.Capability to conduct various physical movements as needed.Licenses and Certifications :
Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.Registered Nurse (RN) license from the applicable state regulatory board.Work Details :
Shift : Day Shift (United States of America) - 24 scheduled weekly hours.
