Quality Inspector - Mechanical - Level 2

Were hiring for a Quality Mechanical Inspector Level 2 position in Long Beach, CA . This is an opportunity in which you will be supporting the first or second shift. This is a Part-time position working 1-3 days a week . If you have a passion for mechanical products and a keen eye for quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform detailed inspectionsvisual, dimensional, and physicalon components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, height gauges, and profilometers to validate part conformity.
• Conduct surface plate inspections and statistical lot sampling based on quality requirements.
• Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
• Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have been properly executed.
• Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.
• Assure appropriate packaging, preservation, and delivery handling upon receiving.
