IT Specialist

TEKsystems is searching for an IT Specialist for a partner in the Atlanta area. This will sit onsite. The IT Engineer / Specialist analyzes existing computer systems and recommends upgrades and improvements, develops and oversees the installation of systems (including software and hardware), performs tests and troubleshooting, performs quality assurance, and implements data recovery plans. An IT Engineer develops user manuals, policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure effective operations. The IT Engineer collaborates with other IT departments and professionals, ensuring all installations, maintenance, and upgrades are carried out on schedule and to client specifications. Additionally, an IT Engineer is expected to design and install computer hardware configurations, install software and networking systems, troubleshooting network and software issues, install high-level software security systems, train staff on newly installed hardware and software systems, ensure security software is kept up to date; and correct hardware, software, and networking issues as part of responding to IT requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for customer / end-user support and assisting more senior TPs
  • Performs routine tasks under the direct supervision of more experienced team members
  • Completes basic user requests.
  • Assists more experienced TPs with troubleshooting and ongoing enhancement efforts through data collection and data visualization.
  • Utilize prepared dashboards to monitor health of the support environment
