Dental Assistant
Performs those duties that assist the Dental Director, Dentists, and Dental Hygienists in the care and treatment of patients. Performs duties in the field of reception, chairside assisting, inventory, and records.

- Starting wage $20.50 to $25 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm

A Day in the Life of a Dental Assistant with Salud :
Let's face it : A Dental Assistant does a lot over the course of a workday. For example, you prepare the treatment room; you maintain the schedule and ensure the team is sticking to it; you interact with patients before, during, and after procedures; and you assist the dentist chairside. And these are just some of the many duties on your plate.
Qualifications :
Experience : Previous dental assistant experience is desired, but not requiredEducation : Graduation from high school or equivalent is requiredLicensure / Certification : No licensure or certification is needed to be hired. Must be radiology certified through a state-approved radiology program, within the timeframe set by Dental Department standards. Successful completion of Salud Family Health Center Ladder's program is required. Successful achievement of the Registered Dental Assistant Program certification is requiredMaintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers from one of the following organizations : American Heart Association; American Safety and Health Institute; or American Red CrossKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
May be required to travel to other clinics based on staffing shortagesAn ability and willingness to learnA desire to expand abilitiesAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to motivate patientsMust work well with the other patient care team membersAbility to operate, maintain, and document in the electronic recordAbility to reliably take diagnostic digital X-rays in a timely fashionAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff.
