Job Title :

  • Data Center Cable Installer Job Overview : We are seeking a Data Center Cable Installer to join our team supporting live Data Center projects across the USA.
  • The role involves the installation of fiber optics and copper cables on predetermined routes within data centers, requiring manual handling, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  • You will work closely with a team and under the supervision of a team leader to ensure all installations are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Unbox and unpack cables.
  • Scan cable barcodes using the provided client scanner.
  • Label cables following the cable schedule.
  • Pull and route cables according to designated paths.
  • Professionally dress cables using velcro wraparound ties.
  • Patch cables into the correct ports on switches.
  • Test copper and fiber optic cables using equipment such as the Fluke tester.
  • Terminate copper cables and splice fiber optic cables.
  • Follow safety guidelines and use the provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Operate mobile working platforms (electric and non-electric) for tasks at low heights above the ground.

    • Requirements :

  • Experience in the installation and termination of copper and fiber optic cables.
  • Familiarity with cable testing equipment such as the Fluke tester.
  • Ability to handle cables and equipment manually, including unboxing, scanning, labeling, and routing.
  • Capable of working on mobile platforms at low heights.
  • Basic knowledge of data center operations and cabling infrastructure is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and follow supervision.

    • Work Schedule :

  • Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM Includes a 1-hour lunch break daily.

    • Compensation :

  • Competitive hourly or salaried rate based on experience.
