Talascend is currently seeking a Hardware Asset Manager for a contract-to-direct opportunity with our client in Washington DC. This role requires full-time, on-site at the Department of Justice (DOJ). You must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for Public Trust security clearance.
Overview
This role supports the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets within a federal environment. The position is 100% on-site and requires hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro and a strong attention to detail in managing asset inventories and compliance processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage hardware assets from procurement through disposal
- Maintain accurate asset records using ServiceNow HAM Pro
- Conduct audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and IT operations teams
- Monitor compliance and recommend process improvements
- Generate reports and dashboards to support decision-making
- Maintain documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure timely tagging and data entry for new assets
- Support incident and change management with accurate data
- Assist with hardware refresh and surplus handling
- Train stakeholders on asset management practices and ServiceNow usage
Requirements
3 to 5 years of IT hardware asset management experience2+ years with ServiceNow, including HAM ProFamiliarity with asset tagging and inventory control systemsKnowledge of asset lifecycle and ITIL best practicesStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsExpertise in Excel and asset reconciliation toolsExperience in federal or enterprise environments preferredActive Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain oneAbility to lift, move, and organize IT equipmentWilling to travel up to 10%
