Health Information Specialist II

Provide Medical Records support for one or more of the following primary responsibilities : coordinate tasks that support complete accurate and timely processing of health information for use by healthcare providers management and government / regulatory agencies. Coordinate the timely delivery of medical records to hospital staff. Prepare index review evaluate scan and commit medical record documents to the Electronic Health Record. Provide technical support to maintain Health Information Management (HIM) computer systems and help resolve technical issues; assist in staff training and the development of instructional documentation.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent of one (1) year office experience in a health care setting ORat least one (1) year of college coursework in a Health Information Management program or closely related field of study.

Previous work experience in a medical record or medical office experience or familiarity with healthcare clinical applications or positions may require a valid Washington State Drivers License and a driving record acceptable to Risk successfully complete and pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review by Seattle Childrens Risk Management Office prior to start of employment.

Compensation Range

$23.15 - $34.73 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
