Operating Room RN Job Details

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2020 - $2170

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Operating Room

Shift Schedule : 10-hour day shifts (6 : 30am – 5 : 00pm or 7 : 00am – 5 : 30pm)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

On-Call Requirement : One weekday call every other week and one weekend call every 5th weekend (must be within 30 minutes of the hospital)

Start Date : November 14, 2025

End Date : February 13, 2026

Charting System : Cerner Millennium

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience

Previous travel nursing experience required

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Moderate sedation training required

PACU or Outpatient Surgery experience preferred

Ability to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to surgical patients in the Operating Room

Manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Demonstrate proficiency in moderate sedation and emergency response protocols

Accurately document patient care using Cerner Millennium

Participate in scheduled call rotation

Support a fast-paced surgical environment with an average of 18 cases per day (up to 35 cases on busy days)
