In this role, you'll carry responsibility for a broad spectrum of respiratory care that underpins patient recovery and safety. Key duties include comprehensive assessment of respiratory status, continuous monitoring of oxygenation and ventilation, and the ongoing management of mechanical ventilation with careful weaning when appropriate. You will administer bronchodilator therapies, humidified therapies, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and airway clearance techniques tailored to individual needs. You'll perform arterial blood gas analyses, interpret results in collaboration with the care team, and adjust treatment plans within established protocols to optimize gas exchange and patient comfort. Documentation will be accurate, timely, and aligned with regulatory and facility requirements, ensuring continuity of care across shifts and units. You'll actively participate in rounds, contribute to multidisciplinary discussions, and educate patients and families about their respiratory conditions, therapies, and post-discharge plans.
