Job Description :

Our client is seeking an IBM MQ administrator. This individual will be configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM MQ across multiple environments, including high-availability (HA) and clustering.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Configuration - Managing distributed queue managers, advanced channel configurations, and multi-instance queue managers.
• High Availability & Clustering - Setting up and managing HA environments, queue manager clusters, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Advanced Security - Implementing SSL / TLS encryption, OAM security policies, and integrating LDAP for authentication.
• Performance Tuning - Optimizing queue manager and channel configurations for high throughput and low latency.
• Integration & Automation - Developing scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automated monitoring and maintenance.
• Advanced Troubleshooting - Diagnosing complex messaging failures, dead-letter queues, and performance bottlenecks using tools like dmpmqmsg, strmqtrc, dspmqtrc.
• Application Support & Development Knowledge - Understanding how applications interact with IBM MQ, including JMS and REST API.
• Monitoring & Alerting - Using IBM MQ monitoring tools (IBM MQ Explorer, Prometheus, Splunk, or Nagios) to track queue performance and generate alerts.
