As a Job Coach youll play a crucial role in supporting individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities (I / DD) in their career journeys. Job Coaches provide on-site mentorship in the workplace providing personalized one-on-one assistance tailored to each clients needs. As a Job Coach you are also acting as a life coach working with individuals on goals and skills to help them become not only more successful and independent at their jobs but in their lives.

What Youll Do :

• Provide one-on-one training and education to caseload of individuals you support in their workplace; teach clients how to complete job tasks.
• Offer prompts cues and support to encourage skill development and independence.
• Monitor and report progress challenges and work performance.
• Help the individual set and achieve goals; assist in overcoming personal barriers.
• Help clients communicate with employers and co-workers in the workplace.
• Help develop positive social work and life skills.
• Communicate with clients to understand their interests skills abilities goals and support needs.
• Provide job search assistance and interview preparation if needed.
• Assess and develop resumes based on skills and strengths if needed.
• Ensure safety is always maintained in the work environment.
• Demonstrate positive work habits and practices
• Assist with personal cares and mobility support as needed
• Create lasting positive impacts on peoples lives through coaching mentoring and encouraging others to reach their employment goals.
