Registered Nurse Overview :
NAFI Connecticut Inc. is exploring candidates for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our collaborative care team within our Therapeutic Group Homes, serving youth and adults through the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
This role offers a flexible schedule, professional autonomy, and meaningful relationship-based nursing. Ideal for an RN looking to step away from the fast pace of hospital or acute care settings while still using their full clinical skill set.
Responsibilities Include :
- Participate in arotational on-call schedule to support staff (primarily advisory)
- Visit 6 group homes weekly for health, medication, and clinical oversight
- Complete monthly nursing assessments for approximately 18 individuals
- Write clear, accurate nursing notes and documentation
- Train, support, and verify staff for medication administration certification
- Coach staff through medication errors and ensure appropriate follow-up
- Address medical concerns and coordinate care with providers
- Ensure all medical, dental, vision, lab, and specialty appointments are scheduled and followed up
