Director Of Organization Effectiveness
The Director of Organization Effectiveness serves as a strategic internal consultant and thought leader to business leaders, People Business Partners, and peer centers of excellence via organization design and transformation efforts, shaping how Autodesk's organizations are structured, evolve, and deliver impact. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of organization design and transformation at Autodesk. It will focus on establishing frameworks, methodologies, and tools that clarify how we design effective organizations, lead change, and strengthen overall organizational effectiveness. By combining contextual insight and data-driven analysis, the Director of Organization Effectiveness will enable People Business Partners and business leaders to make informed decisions that maximize organizational health and effectiveness. Success in this role requires leading a team of internal Organization Effectiveness consultants and collectively building strong, trusted partnerships across peer centers of excellence within the People and Places (PPL) organization as well as with cross-functional business leaders and their teams. This includes partnering with practitioners in areas like People Insights, Mergers & Acquisitions, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Culture & Diversity, and Talent Acquisition. Responsibilities :
- Develop Organization Design and Transformation frameworks, including guidelines and playbooks that can be leveraged for advising leaders in support of business objectives
- Create a dynamic view into "organizational health" in partnership with our People Insights team to enable business leaders and People Business Partners
- Manage benchmarking standards and practices to inform Workforce Strategy and Organization Design and Transformation decisions
- Build capability across Business Leaders and People Business Partners in Organization Design & Transformation
- Partner closely with Director, Workforce Planning to ensure understanding of Autodesk Workforce Strategy methods and programs
- Provide advisory support to People and Places (PPL) Mergers & Acquisitions Team and People Business Partners on new transactions as they determine relevant Organization Design and Transformation in support of deal objectives
- Provide bespoke advisory services for business leaders and People Business Partners as they seek to understand and navigate Organization Design and Transformation challenges
- Manage a team of internal consultants (Organization Effectiveness Partners) to scope and deliver project-based Organization Design and Transformation efforts
- As needed, work with relevant external consultants to scope and manage relevant engagements relating to workforce strategy and organization design as required
- Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders to enable continuous process improvement
- As needed provide input into job design and level decisions as part of a collaborative cross-functional team
- Effectively engage and partner with other Centers of Expertise like Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Culture and Diversity to ensure a connected one-PPL solution for the business
Minimum Qualifications :
8 years of people management with 12-15 years of work experience in Human Capital Consulting, Workforce Strategy, Organization Design, People Business Partner, or adjacent workDemonstrated depth of expertise in topics of Organization Design, Organization Transformation, and the Future of WorkData driven decision maker with evidence of roles that require analytical thinking to drive resultsProven ability and love of leading a team of highly capable individuals in support of business objectivesComfort and confidence working across multiple systems and tools to drive resultsExceptional written and oral communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organizationAbility to manage multiple complex projects in parallel with high levels of quality and impactDemonstrated global program / management capabilityBA / BS in relevant field (Industrial / Org Psych, Business / Strategy)Demonstrated leadership experience with a human-centered approachPreferred Qualifications :
