Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 am - 4 : 00 pm. No weekends, holidays, on-call, or float required.
Job Description
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound. Using high frequency sound waves, the technologist assists medical personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound procedures according to departmental standards, completing exams within the allotted time.
- Conduct daily clerical duties using EPIC and other computer systems.
- Carry out portable ultrasound exams and complex technical tasks.
- Prepare patients for procedures, providing explanations and ensuring proper positioning.
- Evaluate the quality of ultrasound images and maintain accurate records.
- Manage equipment maintenance and clean instrumentation.
- Provide technical assistance to students and residents, and adhere to standards of practice.
- Participate in quality control and assurance programs.
