Summary
The Lead Preschool Teacher designs and leads a vibrant, enriching classroom where children gain foundational skills in literacy, math, science, social development, and emotional regulation—preparing them for kindergarten and beyond.
Duties
Key Responsibilities :
- Create lesson plans aligned to TN-ELDS covering cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional development.
- Organize and maintain well-defined centers : dramatic play, blocks, science, art, library, fine motor, and math .
- Promote independence through classroom jobs, visual cues, consistent routines, and a positive tone.
- Support learning through small group activities, circle time, outdoor play, and journaling .
- Complete child portfolios with observations, assessments, and progress reports.

High school diploma or GED required
Age 18+ and ability to pass DHS background check
