Cobol Programmer

Join a small, stable, well-orchestrated development team to write COBOL programs based on project specifications that enhance, modify, and maintain systems that serve property & casualty insurance industry; assists in planning software installations and maintenance to minimize workflow interruption and downtime; actively participates in ensuring a bug-free release. Must have iSeries / AS / 400 experience.

Troubleshoot and solve coding problems / issues; implement changes to code or installation to correct errors; analyzes data input and potential problems in the software environment.

Collaborate with client representatives, leaders, and other stakeholders to fully understand the tasks that must be accomplished by the projects requested.

Assist in the development and maintenance of comprehensive documentation of program development and revisions and in the preparation of user documents and training materials.

Successful candidate thrives in fast paced environments and is open to learning new technologies. Previous experience in multi-module, highly integrated systems or developing software that has implemented commercially desired.
