Clayton Services is searching for an Assembly Technician to join a thriving company in North Houston. As an Assembly Technician , you will play a key role in building high-quality HVAC systems by assembling mechanical and electrical components according to specifications. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and skilled with tools and technical drawings.
Job Type : Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate : $18.00-$20.00 / hour
Assembly Technician Responsibilities :
- Assemble HVAC units and subcomponents (mechanical and electrical) according to production drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Install and adjust components such as fans, motors, coils, circuit boards, and control panels with precision and care
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure assembly accuracy and adherence to engineering standards
- Report defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the production supervisor immediately
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, including electric screwdrivers, soldering irons, torque wrenches, and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, rulers)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S and safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and goals
- Follow standard operating procedures and participate in training or continuous improvement initiatives as needed
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the production supervisor or team lead
Assembly Technician Skills and Abilities :
