About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Audit to lead the establishment and management of a global, risk-based audit function. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the audit function from the ground up, ensuring compliance with global business standards, and leading various risk assessments. This role requires a high level of experience in change management, global business implementations, and the ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The Head of Audit will also be involved in the hiring and development of the audit team, including upskilling individuals for leadership positions, and will be expected to have a strong background in relationship management with global business counterparts, consultancies, and external audit firms.

Applicants for the Head of Audit position at the company must have a BA in accounting, finance, or a similar field, with an MA or MBA highly preferred. An accounting certification such as CPA, CIA, or CFSA is required. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' experience in an audit function with a global scope, particularly within life and annuity providers. Experience in a co-sourcing environment, overseeing both internal teams and external consultants, is essential. The role also demands a candidate with a proven track record in building and leading global teams, as well as a strong background in change management and business implementations from a governance, risk, and control perspective.
