Senior Health & Safety Engineer Honeywell Aerospace (Torrance CA)

Drive safety excellence at our Torrance manufacturing site! As a Sr. HSE Engineer youll champion health and safety programs ensure compliance with regulations and partner with leaders and employees to foster a safe workplace. This role is hands-on impactful and critical to our aerospace business.

You will report directly to our Sr HSE Manager and work out of our manufacturing plant in Torrance CA in-person.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implements and maintains company HSE programs while ensuring compliance with local state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Proactively involved in the recognition evaluation and control of HSE hazards.
• Improves facilities work areas and work procedures and makes HSE recommendations accordingly.
• Proactively works with leadership and front-line employees to create a safe work environment and resolve HSE concerns.
• Responsible for preparing maintaining and updating HSE policy and procedure manuals.
• Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Serves as contact with federal state and local regulatory agencies.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts practices and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on best practices and pre-established guidelines to meet the requirements of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager.

The annual base salary range for this position is $98000-$147200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education and training key skills as well as market and business considerations.
