Digital Communications Specialist

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Digital Communications Specialist to join our team! Under the general supervision of the Director of Communications, the Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for building, cultivating, monitoring and growing a positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the organization through Agency-wide communications. S / he will implement the Center’s communication strategy, develop engaging content and will take proactive steps to enhance the Agency’s brand while educating the community on mental health and IDD issues and supportive services provided by the Agency

Your Role in Action :

• Films, produces and edits video content to promote services, programs and other initiatives.
• Composes success stories on client interactions with The Harris Center’s programs and services.
• Creates and executes social media campaigns to create daily content that will increase online engagement, reach, brand awareness and positive online interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyzes metrics and key performance indicators of all online platforms including the Agency website, intranet site and all official social media accounts including, but not limited to, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and YouTube.
• Researches and monitors trends to develop a weekly social media editorial calendar, setting benchmarks, goals and identifying target audiences.
• Builds meaningful connections and encourages community members through creative, interactive and inspirational dialog and messaging.
• Authors news posts and composes mass internal and external emails, aligning messaging with the organization’s vision and mission.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications.
