Admissions Events Specialist

The Admissions Events Specialist performs specialized functions within the Admissions department, focusing on the planning, coordination, and execution of recruitment, yield, and retention events. This role supports both on-campus and off-campus initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Enrollment Services and Academic Affairs brand standards. The Specialist collaborates with university staff and external partners to deliver high-impact experiences for prospective students and their families.

Job Function :

• Assisting with the management of admissions events on and off campus.
• Providing administrative and operational support for key admissions events such as Open Houses, Apply in July, Transfer Days, and Admitted Ospreys Days.
• Leading planning and execution of smaller-scale events (e.g., Test Prep, GEAR UP, AVID Summit, Mitch22, Workshops).
• Assisting with large-scale events in collaboration with the Assistant and Associate Directors of Admissions.
• Supervising Welcome Center operations in the absence of the Assistant Director Campus Tours.
• Managing event logistics including catering, resource fairs, inventory, and printed materials.
• Coordinating virtual events and tech operations.
• Strategizing and implementing social media campaigns related to events.
• Serving as a liaison with campus departments and external vendors.
• Maintaining communications with stakeholders and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Independently organizing and packing supplies for all events.
• Greeting and assisting prospective students and families visiting campus.
• Providing public speaking support, including giving campus tours when needed.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
