Prime Air is seeking an experienced Sr. Repair Technician who combines technical skills with a passion for maintaining machinery and aircraft. This person is responsible for all drone maintenance and routine service at the commercial operation location ensuring the aircraft conforms to design and is in safe operating conditions. This candidate is expected to work closely with engineering flight operations and other Prime Air teams to deliver on their assigned addition the Sr. Repair Technician is responsible for the training and qualification of the Repair Technician team at the commercial operation site. This individual should possess strong analytical skills be a self-starter and work well independently.

Key job responsibilities

Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities

Own fleet performance metrics

Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes

Manage fleet spare parts and inventory

Train and mentor other Repair Technicians

Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians

Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations

Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals

This role requires the ability to carry / lift up to 50 lbs stand / walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours and be able to frequently push pull squat bend and reach.

This role requires the ability to work any shift including nights weekends and holidays.

This role requires travel up to 25% of the time.

Export Control License

This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

This position may subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. Federal law also requires Amazon to determine an applicants DOT drug and / or alcohol testing history prior to hiring him / her into a position that would require them to conduct safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.

• 2 years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
• Experience in installing sub-assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files
• Can carry / lift up to 50 lbs stand / walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours and frequently push pull squat bend and reach
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office ie. Word Excel etc.)
• Experience guiding training and mentoring others

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $64800 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $145100 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and / or other benefits.
