Primary Purpose
The Technology Solutions Analyst develops a deep understanding of technology problems and provides solutions for all business units within the company. The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, outside vendors, and the technology team on projects for technology systems and applications with a primary focus on optimizing business processes supported by the technology department in all phases of the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have broad experience with business technology solutions / applications, and specific experience with one or more of the following :
- Smartsheet
- Dynamics SL
- Acumatica ERP
- Power BI or similar BI / Analytics tools
Qualifications Education / Certification :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, MIS or a closely related fieldWork experience and industry certifications accepted in lieu of degree
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and available transportation during entire workday to travel between officesSpecial Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Direct experience with Smartsheet including higher level skills (formulas, pivots, reports / dashboards, API) a plusFamiliarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL and / or Acumatica a plusKnowledge of SaaS platforms, including ERP, CRM, HRM, project management, collaboration, and other resource management platformsKnowledge of ETL and data integration toolsKnowledge of SQLKnowledge of Business Intelligence and analytics, concepts, and toolsSkill in developing project plans and managing projects at scaleSkill in integrating systems across cloud platforms and SaaS solutionsSkill industry-leading enterprise-enterprise grade technologies including cloud services, databases, web applications, and applicable SaaS toolsSkill with utilizing programming languages and scriptingSkill in always providing users with outstanding customer care and serviceSkill in working in an enterprise ticketing systemAbility to think critically in detecting, analyzing, and resolving technology-related problemsAbility to maintain the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive informationAbility to adapt to rapidly evolving technology and environmentAbility to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with minimum supervisionAbility to comprehend complex systems and technical information and explain effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written utilizing tact and diplomacy and maintain effective working relationships with company personnel.Willing and able to learn existing technology environmentExperience :
1-5 years of experience in a similar or related role.Major Responsibilities and Duties
Create and maintain technical documentation on current processes and implemented solutionsResearch and document company processes with the goal of determining software to meet specific needs of the various business units and company.Design, configure, implement, and support technologies that meet business needs.Provide strategic recommendations for company process improvements.Develop, maintain, and report changes on scope and schedules for all projects to stakeholders.Develop a detailed assessment of project and software needs and help remove team obstacles.Provide input on Technology Steering Committee projects including objectives, scope, approach, estimates, and deliverables.Define technical evaluation criteria for product and technology selection and determine technical approaches to ensure solutions result in coherent systems design.Participate in regular technology meetings and provide status updates.Utilize ticketing system to track support requests and document corrective actions.Assign or re-assign support requests to the appropriate department when applicable.Assist in testing new systems and upgrades of software packagesDevelop appropriate documentation and knowledge base articlesConvert technology concepts and proposed upgrades into reality in an expeditious manner.Company Climate
